"Who I Am"
I am a diamond in the rough,
Still having my flaws.
I am a voice hitting every note in perfect tune,
Calming and pleasing to the ear.
I am the sun's ray yellow,
able to brighten up anyone's day around me.
I am in the Arms of an Angel,
Accepting and forgiving to all.
I am a beat up 1995 Ford Contour,
A little old with some bumps
And scratches from my past.
I am a plasma screen TV,
unique and loaded with information.
I am both water and fire,
Calming and feisty,
But bad to mix together.
What hides behind my eyes is fear,
Of what the future might behold.

Nice work on your poem, Rachael. I really like the line about the "1995 Ford Contour." How true that we all come with the "bumps" and "scratches" from the past.
